Last year my workload seemed much worse than this year, but I'm not complaining. I have finals but none of them are cummulative, and besides a project here and there, it's not going to be too bad. Clarion weather has finally kicked in. It feels like it's 5 degrees out. It's so hard getting out of bed when it's this cold and snowing. But that doesn't stop me from going to practice. Regardless of the temperature we run. Today I had a hard workout in the snow and I couldn't feel my toes, but I think im used to it. Over break I have to make sure I keep in shape, but also that I have enough time to relax a little to. Then I come back from break and track season begins! I start indoor track January 20th and wont be done with track till the end of May. My weekends are completely tied to track. But with all the hard work I can't wait for it to start and pay off.

Back from Florida

I'm already back from Daytona, Florida where I spent my Thanksgiving break. It was my first time going to New York so I was pretty pumped. We got there on a Thursday and had the night to our self. Then Friday was a big day because we went to the Nike Corporation and spent a few hours there. We got to meet the Nike spoksman, which was cool. The presentation we sat through talked about mainly running, basketball and soccer and that the main idea behind any business is that everything resolves around what the customers want and need. There is no business without the customer. It was pretty interesting, and I actually learned some things from it. Then Saturday the entire day was ours and of course my girlfriends and I shopped like crazy. We ate dinner in Little Italy and later that night went to a comedy club. The entire experience was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back next year!

So excited

I have been fairly busy this week, but all my worries are coming to an end. This Thursday I am leaving to go to New York for the first time ever and I am so excited! There is a big chance that I am going to buy everything I see in sight and become broke, but it's well worth it! I'm pumped to see what it's like in the business world in New York and hopefully I will get a feel for marketing. With everything going on, I haven't had much time to think about New York until today. Our track practices have been pretty intense so taking two days off while I'm away will be nice.

The semester is coming to an end

This semester is almost over and it seems crazy how fast it went. All the work is starting to pile up and I'm ready for it to be over. I'm counting down the days until Thanksgiving break so I can get some free time to myself. I am starting to stress a little about next semester, though. Next semester my classes are going to be rough and that is when track meets start, so my life will be extremely hectic. Nothing too exciting has been going on; just massive amounts of school work and hard track practices, but I'm doing fairly well in everything. I am still in the process of getting into two classes that I need for my major, which can be a real pain. The good news is that I'm getting excited to leave for New York in a week, and then our break comes a few days after that.

The Craziness Never Ends

Okay. So it has been a while since the last time I have posted. I have been going crazy non stop until today! Track workouts and classes have been keeping me fairly busy. Last weekend I had four exams that I studied for constanly. Then ALF came and went before I could fully enjoy it. But I made time to head down and grab a poor man's caramel apple and some wings. Then the other day I went down to look at all the crafts. It was definitely a fun weekend. Today I finally declared my major to be Business Marketing. I joined Marketing Club a few weeks ago and it's planning on taking a trip to New York City, which I am pumped about, considering I have never been there before. We go up for a weekend and talk to marketing, public relations, and management representatives and then we have the nights to ourselves. Overall, I think it will be a good time. Today I also found out that I have 7am practices along with my 3:30 practices a few times a week for track. I am not a morning person. Ask any one of my friends. It's definitely going to be hectic, but after two weeks or so I should get used to the new schedule and I know that it will pay off when the season actually starts.

Getting Down to Business

This weekend I was pretty productive. I had two test to study for, so that took up a lot of my time at the library. Four out of five of my classes are auditorium classes. Because there isn't any homework in these classes, I have to do well on my tests to get a good grade. Friday night my friends and I went to the CU football game against West Chester. Then Sunday I attended the UAB's Campusfest featuring Jamie O'Neal, Craig Morgan, and Gary Allan. It was a great performance, only $15 for students and defianlty worth going! Monday was the official start of track practice. I was excited, but at the same time a little anxiuos. I knew it was going to be tough, but i didn't know how tough. By the end of practice I was definitely trying to catch my breath. We have a lot of freshmen that joined the team, and overall, I think out track and cross country teams are going to be very successful. I think the runners on our team are very determined, and I think that will pay off.

Weekend Fun

Here's most of the girlies that I hang around, a few are missing!

I look forward to the weekends as I'm sure most students do. This weekend was alot of fun. Thursday night a whole bunch of girlfriends and I had a makeup party, watched some of the game, and afterwards went out together. My roomates and I have become close with the girls that live behind us. We are planning on getting a house our junior year and living together. Now Friday wasn't too exciting. I had to sit on a golf course for six hours and introduce myself to golfers, not all that fun. But it was to raise scholarship money for athletices so it was for a good cause. There were basketball players, wrestlers, track runners, and swimmers working it. After being in the hot sun all day I came back and just crashed. On a different subject, I am really excited for track to start next week. Although I have been running on my own, practice doesn't officially start till the 18th. We have a new coach and he's great. I've seen our workouts and what the game plan is and I think it's going to be a good year.

Back at CU

I have finally found some time to sit in front of my computer and write my first post. Lets see, I'm back at Clarion and nothing to exciting has happened to me yet. I have settled into my apartment on Frampton Street and love it. I live around all awesome people so its been fun the last couple of nights. My schedule is nice, three days a week my earliest class is 11 and I only have one class on Friday. This first week of class is more like a blow off week. I'll probably go out and have fun until I have to get serious. I want to make scholar athlete this semester which is just a 3.25 GPA so I must do good. Besides going to classes and track meetings nothing else too exciting has gone on. It is just really nice to finally get to see everyone and be back at school.
